Project Overview
Working at 2,000 to 4,000 meters above sea level, Bolivia’s open-pit mines are brutal on any excavator. Thin air, daily temperature swings, and abrasive mineral dust eat through standard rotating parts in no time. For the CAT 330, we engineered an internal-gear slewing ring that exactly matches OEM specs yet survives those non-stop heavy swings under full bucket loads.
We chose a single-row four-point contact ball design, forged from solid 42CrMo steel. Both inner and outer rings are CNC-drilled for precise mounting, and the raceways receive induction hardening while gear teeth hit DIN Class 7 accuracy. The real trick is our upgraded grease circulation and a multi-layer sealing system that keeps fine mining grit out – a must for highland dust erosion.
Every unit goes through our full in-house workflow: drilling, precision cleaning, anti-rust coating, waterproof sealing, and finally fumigated wooden case packing. We document every step with photos, and before shipping, each bearing is dimension-checked against the customer’s confidential drawings. This is gear built for 2,000+ working hours a year – and it holds up, season after season, in Bolivia’s tough alpine environment.
